The Lag BaOmer  celebration was held at the synagogue in Budva on May 9, 2023.
Lag BaOmer, the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer, is a feast day of the Jewish calendar. The period between Pesach and Shavuot. The Memorial Day of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the famous Jewish scholar and author of the Zohar. Usually on this day, one organizes picnics and other entertainment, burns bonfires and shoots archery.
On this day a joyous event for the entire Montenegrin community took place – for the first time the Torah was brought into the new synagogue in Budva.
